Who Leads the Team
Joe Bica, Managing Partner
Joe Bica combines his extensive knowledge of international business and years of governmental experience to lead Edgewood Solutions team. Joe serves as Portage County Treasurer, bringing extensive experience in elected public service, governmental finance and operational efficiencies. He previously served twelve years on Ravenna City Council and six years as Mayor of Ravenna, gaining significant experience in governmental budgeting, financial analysis & modeling, cash management, and investment oversight. Joe earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Malone University and a Master of Business Administration from Kent State University. Joe also holds technical degrees in Robotics/Integrated Manufacturing & Electrical Power and Controls from Terra Technical College. His career also includes more than three decades of private-sector leadership with Ball Corp., and Applied Vision Corp., where his work in international business development and strategic market expansion took him to more than 42 countries. Joe also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Mount Union and Hiram College, teaching business, economics, and entrepreneurship.
Scott Rainone, Partner
Scott’s background in journalism, media relations, executive communications, crisis communications and innovation was built by serving public, private and not-for-profit organizations. Scott has an in-depth experience in Content Generation, Brand Management, Integrated Marketing Strategy, Market Research, Crisis Communications & Issues Management, Public & Media Relations, Legislative Advocacy, Innovation, Grant Writing, Corporate Message Development and Customer/Audience Engagement. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication; English from University of Mount Union and a Masters in Political Science from Kent State University
